Perm region

Perm region is situated on the West of the Ural Mountains, between Europe and Asia, in the very centre of Russia. It has an area of thousand square kilometers and 3 million people of population. The region stretches for 645 kilometers from the North to the South, and 420 kilometers from the West to the East.

Since 1953 PSTU has trained more than 110 thousand specialists for the industry exploring and minerals development; power engineering; metallurgy; engineering; aeronautic and space- rocket hardware; automatics and management; chemical engineering and bioengineering; building, etc.

Educational and scientific activity of the university is organized in 17 University buildings with an area of over 180 thousand square meters. The complex of modern University buildings including educational buildings, laboratories and hostels is only 5 kilometers away from the city center in a picturesque pine wood of 33 hectares.

Mission of PSTU is to provide on the base of knowledge and experience of teaching staff and scientists: meeting requirements of citizens and society to qualitative, accessible and advanced education, including high, post graduate and additional education; implementation of basic and applied researches on the level of world achievements; formation of market infrastructure of innovation activity, development of new educational technologies; diversification of future specialists characterized by high professionalism, high level of culture, refinement, and high social activity; creation of conditions which allow people use information resources and generated knowledge
