Differences: AP and AICE Both are rigorous college level courses Both have external exams given at the end of the course College credit for both is earned through the external exam and college policies AP exams are given on one day generally with a 3 hour exam. One section is generally multiple choice and one section is essay. AICE exams are generally administered over 2 days with 1.0-1.75 hour exams. One section is generally short responses and one section is essay. AICE courses are writing intensive Both AICE and AP courses prepare you to be successful in college. College admissions officers want students to take rigorous and challenging high school courses
