Welcome to our Allens Croft Family Reception 2015

Welcome to the wonderful world of Allens Croft! Dear Reception Children, I’m really excited that you are coming to Allens Croft to join our Reception classes. I have already met lots of you and I know that you will love it here. You will learn lots of new and exciting things but best of all is that you will make lots of new friends. I will see you every morning when you come to school and at different times during the school day and I am really looking forward to that. Please practice getting ready for school over the summer holidays and I will see you in September. Mrs Weaver Head Teacher

Each morning we come together to talk about our Daily Life at Allens Croft You might like to ride a bike or scooter around our race track or read a book in our story garden! Each morning we come together to talk about our learning for the day. At Allens Croft, we love to learn in the outdoors! During our weekly forest school sessions, we explore and investigate the great outdoors through fun independent activities. Don’t forget to bring your wellingtons as we venture out whatever the weather! We have our own Reception outdoor play area where we can play with our friends and have lots of fun! Later in the year, we will be given the opportunity to play in the big playground with the other children in our school. Each week, we come together as a whole school to sing, celebrate achievements and different festivals.

We learn to take turns, share and work together as a team! At lunchtime, we have dinner in the hall. Each year group is looked after by their own dinner supervisor. You can sit with your friends and there is always an adult to help you. We learn to take turns, share and work together as a team! We enjoy learning in our ICT suite, where we can create pictures and explore different programmes. We can use our imaginations in our creative area!
