UNEXPECTED INSIGHTS? Employee engagement as a motivator ≠ how they tackle the problem What other measures of progress should we be tracking? Who else might be able to use this data? Motivations: employee retention ranked very low, between 0 and 15% of companies in the CS database identified employee retention as a motivation for implementing reduction strategies. majority of strategies put in place rely heavily on employee engagement (9 of 15 strategies tracked). how did employee engagement and retention numbers change over the course of implementing strategies?
