Structuring your Presentation 1 – Poem What is a poem? What characteristics does your text have which place it within the ‘poetry’ genre? What characteristics does it not have that are common within the genre? What type of poem is it?

Structuring your Presentation 1 – Poem - Analysis Provide a detailed analysis of the poem. This can be line by line. Identify techniques used and discuss why they are used. Evaluate the technique used – is it effective? If so, why?

You should create a PowerPoint for your presentation. Use bullet points to support what you’re saying. Include quotations that you will discuss in detail. You can use youtube video clips if you’d like to. PowerPoint slides should be printed off and handed to your tutor as part of your evidence.
