Safety from online People aren’t always what they tell you they are. Go onto next slide to see a story about sophia. Don’t talk to people if you haven't met them Don’t meet people you don’t know + you could if you have a adult but…. try stick to people you \sno

Sophia was an ordinary 14 year old girl, who made the mistake many girls could. Luckily she escapedl. The story of Sophia A boy made a account on Facebook, his name was ‘Tyler’. Tyler and Sophia both added each other and after a couple of days Tyler invited Sophia round his house. She agreed saying “my parents are going out, when will you pick me up”. The night came and the boy sent her a text saying “I'm outside, my car is a white van so just come in.” She left her house locking the door then quickly skipped towards the car. As soon as she got in, she realised she made a mistake as the guy wasn’t what he said, 15 year old with blonde hair. In fact the guy was in his 40’s and wasn’t anything like his picture. She looked around her and she saw hand cuffs in his hand, before she new it she could move and had been hand cuffed to the chair. She screamed and screamed she didn’t know what was going to happen. Luckily a man near by, was walking his dog and heard the screams. He smashed the glass in the van and got Sophia out just in time. This isn't a true story but thing like this do happen

What have we learnt from Sophia's story? Never arrange to meet up with people you don’t know. Don’t give out your address Don’t talk to people you don’t know, on the internet What have we learnt from Sophia's story? DON’T GET INTO WHITE VANS! If you do meet up with people make sure your parents are there Stay safe kids

The good and bad things about social media Good things Easily make plans with your friends You can connect with long lost friends or family You can talk to your friends Let people know what your up to See what's happening in the world Bad things People can hack your accounts You can be tricked into giving your bank details (loosing all your money) Cyber Bullying

Stop and think Before you do anything you could regret, think. Don’t send anything you don’t want to come back at you when your older Don’t send any pictures wouldn’t want your parents to see Remember once its been sent anyone could see it and it could go anywhere. - anyone could get hold of it
