Google Maps! Lets open up Google maps and search for Greece. Lets identify some different cities, and see the location of Greece compared to Egypt and the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia.

What can you tell about the geography of ancient Greece by looking at these maps?

Each group will be assigned a question, and they must utilize the map to answer their question. Group 3-What events in Greece point out that conflict was often a part of Ancient Greek life? Group 4-How many years passed between the year that Xerxes became king of Persia and the year he invaded Greece?
