1 Warm Up Ancient Egypt

2 Objective- SWBAT understand the characteristics of the Nile River.

3 Lets use Google maps to locate Egypt and the Nile River.
Lets locate Mesopotamia (Present day Iraq) and determine what direction you would travel from Egypt to Mesopotamia

8 The Nile is two separate rivers; The Blue Nile, and The White Nile
The Nile is two separate rivers; The Blue Nile, and The White Nile. The blue Nile begins in the snowy mountains of eastern Africa. The While Nile starts in the tropics of central Africa- and the two join just south of Egypt to join the Nile River.

Group 3- What does the author say will happen if the Nile ceases in its work? Group 4- What human characteristics are attributed to the Nile?
