Messages for the Public Sector The portfolio of courses offered by NCFM is tailored towards the Food Manufacturing sector However, the pathway and courses are available (and in many cases suited) to PS employers – e.g. Apprenticeships in Customer Service, Business Admin and ICT) Engaging with hard to reach young people (e.g. those not ready for an Apprenticeship) is reliant on working with employers with a community focus Progression opportunities are available at every level with growing opportunities

Recruitment strategies Company open evenings for parents/prospective learners Support with recruitment campaigns to suit local environments Assessment centres to support recruitment process Collaborative selection process Schools and college liaison with ambassador links Work placements with value added learning Teaching experiences External collaboration e.g. Skills Service
