Localisation Washington, District of Columbia ; is located in the north bank of the Potomac River and is bordered by the states of Virginia on the southwest and Maryland on the other side.

Washington is located in the humid subtropical climate zone. Springs and autumns are warm, with low humidity, while winters are cool and summers are hot and humid.
