Roy Lichtenstein Leading figure in the Pop Art Movement along with Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol and James Rosenquist Comic Strips were his main inspiration as well as popular advertising He described pop art as "not 'American' painting but actually industrial painting."[3] His paintings were exhibited at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York City.
