What is a flash memory? Memory that retains data in the absence of a power supply Memory storage device that plugs in a USB port on a computer or mobile device.

History In the mid-70’s floppy disk was introduced. NAND-flash memory was developed by Toshiba in 1989. In 2002 USB drives was introduced.

How does a flash memory work? First insert the flash memory into the USB port of the computer. Then the computer operating system analyze the data to be used and stored. Once your done with flash memory make sure to eject it properly and then the system will properly eject it for you.

What are types of Flash memory? Memory cards Flash Drives NAND SD Card Compact Flash

What can you store in a flash memory? Personal Data Business Data Music Games Picture or images Documents Movies

How do upgrade a flash memory? Update the device that uses Flash memory. Update the software use to the run the Flash memory. Can also be automatically update or may require manual upgrade. Make sure that the electronic device your using such as a SMART device has the right flash memory storage device such as memory cards or flash drives
