Today you will be learning about the different career choices in the community. Students will be able to make a connection between community jobs and the work students do in the classroom. Students will also be able to identify a person they know and the job they do in the community. Objective

We will now draw pictures! Draw a picture of a family member or an adult you know at their job. I will draw one too as an example!

Discussion Questions What were some of the careers or jobs you noticed in the book? Do you know someone who does the same kind of job? Who are they and what job do they do?

Brainstorm Turn and talk with a neighbor…share what job you would like to do with your partner and why
