What is WJEC Construction? Vocational Course Highly relevant to work performed in industry. Giving you the skills and knowledge to begin your Construction career. WJEC Level 2 Award – Constructing The Built Environment – Equivalent to a GCSE grade

WJEC Level 2 Award – Constructing The Built Environment 1 Option Choice 2 Periods per Week Largely coursework Based Core Units: Unit 1 – Safety and Security in Construction (Exam) Unit 2 – Practical Construction Skills Unit 3 – Planning Construction Projects

Who can take the course? are interested in construction This course is ideally suited to students who: are interested in construction may be thinking about going to college when they leave school. may be applying for a job in any of the many branches of the construction profession. enjoy experiencing new and exciting challenges

What do I learn? You will learn a wide variety of knowledge and skills including: a range of new construction skills including; tiling, decorating, wallpapering and joinery how to plan for a construction task how to assess risk in the working environment how to work safely in a construction environment working independently and as part of a team Experience of working with a range of different hand tools, materials and equipment
