Who won the French and Indian War? The British

Why was Britain taxing the colonists? They were in debt from the French and Indian War and expected the colonies to help pay for it.

What happened as a result of Britain passing the Stamp Act ? The colonists boycotted British goods

What does boycott mean ? Refusal to buy a good

Which occurred immediately after the Boston Tea Party ? Britain passed the Intolerable Acts

What were the Intolerable Acts ? (There was 4 of them) Set of laws that were almost intolerable (unbearable) by the colonists. They punished Boston. 1.England closed the port of Boston until tea was paid for 2.Could not hold town meetings 3.Trials had to be held in England 4. Quartering Act – Colonists had to house the English officials in their own homes.
