Kindergarten Newsletter Mrs. McLaughlin Aug. 22-26 Week 4 What We’re Learning Reminders Please check backpacks daily. Title 1 Meeting/Open House this Thursday, August 25 @ 6pm. Fincher’s BBQ Dinner 5:30 p.m. I look forward to seeing you all then! Send Wednesday folders back on Thursdays with any papers that need to be returned. Students will have the opportunity to buy ice cream on Thursday. It will be served at the end of the day. Please see letter regarding ice cream in your student’s homework binder. Money should only be sent in on Thursday morning. ELA, Reading & Math Class News Language Arts Handwriting: Letters P, Q, R, S, T Sight Word: like, blue Skills: Beginning Sounds, Pause for Punctuation, Antonyms, Nouns for Places, Narrative Writing (word choice) Math Numbers 0-10 How can you count and write numbers? 0-10 with words and numbers Matching numbers and objects 0-10 Science: Animals and their offspring Social Studies: Citizenship/Rules Activities Monday: Music Tuesday: PE Wednesday: Computer/ Library Thursday: Art/ Ice Cream Friday: Music The Leader In Me habit of the week is Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind. I plan ahead and set goals. I am an important part of the classroom and contribute to my school and classroom mission. I look for ways to be a good citizen. I do things that have meaning and make a difference.
