LIVE MUSIC PROGRAM Why is the Live Music Program scored? Applications are scored so the projects with the most impact, and capacity to deliver the project will be funded. We want to make sure we’re funding projects that meet the goals of the BCMF. Can I apply for Live Music Presentation AND Business Development in the same application? YES. Or you can apply separately; whichever makes the most sense for you. Why are non-BC companies allowed to apply for funding? BCMF wants to fund all companies who are making an impact in BC’s music industry. We have built ways into the program to ensure we are providing growth to BC companies. Can I receive other public funding, in addition to the BCMF, for my project? YES, but public funding from any source cannot equal more than 75% of the project budget. When do I get my cheque? Payment will be customized by project, but will include an advance and a cheque upon receipt of the final report. Once I’ve applied, when will I hear back? Within 10 weeks
