Mr. Krokos 2nd Grade Welcome Students!

Welcome to Second Grade! I will introduce you to second grade and to our classroom. If you have any questions during my presentation, please raise your hand and wait to be called on.

All About Me My background I grew up in Plains, Pennsylvania. I attended Elementary school and High School in Wilkes-Barre, and went to Bloomsburg University. I am still in school! I know go to Misericordia University. My experience I have substituted at Fairview and Rice Elementary, and taught 2nd grade here last year.

My Family My Wife Our pets dog, Spooky turtle, Mr. Tiny Petey Splashes Christine Our pets dog, Spooky turtle, Mr. Tiny Petey Splashes

My Interests Even though I am a teacher, I am just like you! Here are some of the things I like to do when I am not in school…

My Goals To give you the academic and social skills you need to progress to third grade. To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment. To help you make new friends and discover new interests.

Class Subjects The subjects we cover during Second grade are: Reading and Language (You may have another teacher.) Math Science Social studies Handwriting

Classroom Community Our classroom is a community. In our community, we have rules to help us get along with each other. Our class rules are: 1. Follow directions the first time they are given. 2. Raise your hand for permission to speak. 3. Do not touch anyone else with your hands, your feet, or any object. 4. Treat others how you want to be treated. 5. Stop and think about making a good choice before you act.

Homework I will assign homework every night. Homework will be placed in the homework bin in the back of the room. If you need extra time to work on your homework, there will be a set time that myself or one of the other second grade teachers will be able to help you.

Let’s Have a Great Year!
