L.P.P.A. Principles Leading Parent Partnership Award Quality award ‘for schools committed to investing in parents for the achievement of children’ Not a ‘quick fix’ approach-designed to enable schools to achieve long term sustainable parent partnership Requires the engagement of five sets of key partners; school staff, pupils/students, parents, governors, external partners ‘Parents’ includes carers, step-parents, grandparents and other significant adults Research indicates that it is what parents do at home to support their children’s learning that is critical. The heart of the LPPA is about facilitating this.
