New Beginnings and New Routines Line up on playground independently. In Classroom Morning Routine –Children put away packed-lunches, hang coats and book bags on peg. They put their Reading Record and book into a basket. The children then complete their spellings and handwriting during registration. PE kits should stay in school on their labelled coat peg. We will send them home for washing in the holidays. Reading books will be changed Mondays and Wednesdays (group A), Tuesdays and Thursdays (group B). Lessons may take place outdoors; therefore it would be useful if the children had wellies in school.

The Curriculum Topic for the Autumn Term is - Medieval Castles and Kingdoms Main threads include:- This particular topic focuses on History. However, it is designed to be cross curricular. For a topic to be cross-curricular it needs to be accessible for all areas of learning. For example, will we be making castles in our design and technology lessons and using both fictional stories and non fiction information as a stimulus for writing. By encouraging the children to make meaningful links within their learning, we are therefore enriching their experiences.
