KnowBrainer Professional 2017 Welcome Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with the new KnowBrainer Dynamic Sidebar. the new sidebar allows you to make better use of your collection of KnowBrainer supplied voice commands, as well as your own custom voice commands, by letting you know what you can say and when. “Show Application Commands” See instantly which of your application-specific and window specific voice commands are available relative to the current active window. The commands update automatically on change of active window. “Show Global Commands” See your list of global commands at any time. “Show Hardcoded Commands” See instantly the inbuilt / hardcoded KnowBrainer voice commands. “Show VerbalBasic Commands” See instantly the Verbal Basic commands available “Edit Selected Command” Allows you to edit or examine the last recognised global, application or window specific KnowBrainer command which has been automatically highlighted on the sidebar. “Hide Sidebar”, “Show Sidebar”, “Expand Sidebar” and “Contract Sidebar” at any time. “SHOW KnowBrainer OPTIONS” at any time to show options. If you prefer to operate KnowBrainer old-style, that is without the sidebar showing, just set that option in the sidebar options or “hide the sidebar” at anytime. you can then look at your commands when required by using “Show Sidebar”

KnowBrainer Professional 2017 Command Editor KnowBrainer Command Editor Create new commands instantly using: “New Global Command Called <any name you like>” opens the command editor for a global command with the name you give it at the end of the voice command. E.g. “New Global Commands called Check My Internet Speed” “New Application Command <any name you like>” opens the command editor with the relevant application highlighted in the application, box with the command name of your choice. “New Window Command <any name you like>” opens the command editor with the command name of your choice and with the relevant application and window title highlighted in the application and window combo boxes. KnowBrainer Professional 2017 implements the Polar Engineering Winwrap Basic scripting engine with customisations by pcbyvoice Ltd. Offers execution times far in advance of the Dragon Advanced Scripting engine and includes, for the first time with Dragon, .NET scripting giving access to the vast array of Microsoft .NET software libraries and components. New custom extension functions from pcbyvoice including ‘OpenWebsite’, ‘MoveWindow’, ‘EmulateRecognition’ and others as well as the familiar Dragon extensions such as ‘SetMousePosition’, ‘HeardWord’ etc.

KB Professional 2017 Selected New Features A choice of sidebar skins is available (sidebar colour schemes). DVC Scripting is now available with KnowBrainer allowing, for example, multithreading activity while waiting as in the KnowBrainer 2012 command "Train <1To10>" which allows you to train a word or phrase while waiting in the command syntax. There is now a new registration wizard for trialling the software and activation. You can now enable/disable commands in the Manage Command console. You can now assign hotkeys to run scripts, check the options dialogue by right clicking on the KnowBrainer icon in the system tray and choosing Options | Hotkeys. VerbalBasic commands are now available globally and can be shown on a separate VerbalBasic tab on the sidebar. Just say “Show Verbal basic Commands”. All verbal basic commands are now preceded by the word “Code…” You can now show the code for a command on the sidebar on the selected tab (without implementing/calling the command) by simply using its name e.g. “SHOW command About Dragon”. The command will be opened in the command editor. Similarly you can now find a command on the sidebar (without implementing it and without opening it in code view) by simply using its name e.g. “FIND Command About Dragon”. The FIND Command <dictation>, where dictation is the command name, will only search the existing highlighted tab for the command. So if you require setting another tab then you will need to change it by using SHOW Global Commands or SHOW Application Commands. The hardcoded commands listbox does not have a search facility as all commands are shown. However The FIND Command that is actually called will be highlighted as it is hardcoded. See below for the other FIND Command

KnowBrainer Professional 2017 New Features (continued) There is also a new FIND ability to search the Sidebar list boxes using the first 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 characters of the command name using the phonetic alphabet. For example "Find charlie alpha mike" will go to the first command beginning with "cam…" Find <phonetic alphabet> <phonetic alphabet … Find <phonetic alphabet> … … … … <phonetic alphabet> Upgrade to WinWrap Basic Windows 10 scripting package. SendKeys functionality now includes the Windows key as an individual key and as a modifier key. SendKeys”{Windows}” ‘send the Windows key SendKeys “{WindowsHold}” ‘send the Windows key + r which shows the run dialog SendKeys “{WindowsHold}^f” ‘send the Windows key + Control Key + f which shows the find computers dialog DisplayNumbers can now be used in automated scripts / Voice Commands. After displaying numbers a number can then be chosen to left click, right click or double-click on. Sub Main … DisplayNumbersAndClick 42 DisplayNumbersAndRightClick 57 DisplayNumbersAndDoubleClick 9 … End Sub You can now import your commands from a previous KnowBrainer commands file if you have previously been running KnowBrainer Professional 2014 or KnowBrainer Professional 2015.

KnowBrainer Professional 2017 Featured New Commands Insert <dictation> = forces dictation into any field or document you can type in, even when Dragon is in Command Mode New Mouse Command Called <dictation> = records the mouse X & Y coordinates and creates a new application command (what you dictate) that will left mouse click on the named menu or button  Change to <dictation> = changes selected text to whatever you dictate and moves the cursor to the end of the paragraph or line   Fill <1to100> <dictation> = selects any bookmark [01] – [99] and overwrites the bookmark with your dictation Next Field <dictation> = selects the next field [text] and overwrites the field with your dictation Send Email to <dictation> = creates a new Outlook message, types the email address you dictate and moves to the subject line Google <dictation> = creates a new tab in the default web browser and searches for what you dictate Go To <dictation> = creates a new tab in the default web browser, and automatically jumps to the closest matching website (think artificial intelligence) Build a Command Called <dictation> = copies highlighted text to the clipboard, creates a new Dragon Text-&-Graphics command and names the command what you dictate
