7 In Firefox menu double-click Options

8 Advanced tab Encryption sub-tab

9 Select Comodo certificate and click Backup

10 Give the backup file a name

11 Enter a strong password

12 To import the certificate into Windows
Double-click the saved certificate file

13 Follow the import process
Enter the password you created when you saved the certificate

14 To View Certificates Go to Internet Options in the Control Panel
Click on ‘Certificates’

15 Your certificate will be under Personal
Your correspondents’ certificates will be under ‘Other People’

16 To Sign an Email On Options tab click ‘Sign’

17 To Encrypt and Click the ‘Encrypt’ button shown on the previous screen. You will need to have the recipient’s public key to do this Public keys may be sent to other people by sending them a signed

Click the seal to get details of the signature

19 To import someone else’s public key
Right-click on the sender in the ‘From’ field of a signed Choose ‘Add to Outlook contacts’ If you already have a contact entry for this person, simply select ‘Update information of selected contact’ when you save. You will now be able to send encrypted s to this person.

20 Create a signature line in Word or Excel
In the document or worksheet, place your pointer where you want to create a signature line. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click the Signature Line list, and then click Microsoft Office Signature Line. In the Signature Setup dialog box, type information that will appear beneath the signature line: Suggested signer The signer's full name. Suggested signer's title The signer's title, if any. Suggested signer's address The signer's address, if needed. Instructions to the signer Add instructions for the signer. Allow the signer to add comments in the Sign dialog Allow the signer to type a purpose for signing. Show sign date in signature line Signature date will appear with signature. Click OK.

21 To sign the document Double-click the ‘X’
Type in the text of the signature or select an image (this could be a scan of your physical signature) Click Sign

22 Add invisible digital signatures in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
Click the File tab. The Backstage view appears. Click Info. Optional In the Permissions section, click Restrict Editing and set permissions. In the Permissions section, select Add a Digital Signature. On the Sign dialog, in the Purpose for signing this document box, type the purpose. Click Sign. A signature seal will now appear at the bottom info bar. Editing a signed document will remove the signature.
