Action Point as per letter dt.09/01/17 Action Points as per letter dt.09/01/17 from Secretary, MoUD # Action Point as per letter dt.09/01/17 from Secretary, MoUD Action by State/ ULB 1 institutional as well as project progress in respect of both cities is satisfactory. However, the progress needs to be monitored regularly so as to get some visible projects by June 2017. Projects are monitored regularly to push project stage from DPR to RFP stage and from RFP to ground breaking stage at the earliest. Specific plan is prepared for staring / completion of projects on 25 June 2017, which has been already conveyed to email. 2 In terms of Mission Guidelines, appointment of regular CEO needs approval of this Ministry. Appropriate reference for the purpose, therefore, needs to be sent to us for consideration CEO appointed with approval of State Govt in June 2016. 3 As earlier pointed out vide DO letter dated 7th December 2016, matching share of Rs. 200 crore is required to be transferred by the State Government to the accounts of SPVs instead of Rs. 100 crore. State level Action 4 No progress in respect of Vadodara, which has been selected in Round 2 in September 2016, Not related to Surat City 5 As the Government grant (Gol + State) will not suffice to fund the Smart City projects identified by the city in its SCP, I had requested all State Government including Government of Gujarat vide DO Letter dated 29th July 2016 to prepare pipeline of projects for external financing Out of Total Rs.2597 Crore SCP, Rs.795 Crore planned under PPP Rs.440 Crore from convergence with other schemes of State/Central Govt. Rs.179 Crore share from beneficiaries in affordable housing.
