Athletics RC Purpose: The Clarion University Athletics Department works collaboratively with others to support our students’ pursuit of excellence by providing them with challenging opportunities to develop their athletic, academic, professional and social skills, and to represent the Clarion Community through athletic involvement and competition. Impact on Campus Community Composition The athletic department provides opportunities for 380 student athletes, over 30 coaches and staff help run the department. In turn athletics provides a showcase and a venue for: Dance team 30, Hip Hop Dance Team 30, KUDETS 30 Cheerleaders 36 The Clarion University Band approximately 90 for fall 20 Athletic Training Majors The student television and radio stations volunteers Numerous managers, student assistants, volunteers and interns in the sports management program. We project that an additional 200-300 students that are not student athletes bring the total close to 700 that are involved with athletics.
