MHCM Course Objectives Prepare students to upgrade their professional level managerial position to specialized professional career in Healthcare (Health and Hospital) Management. BY: Kabita Khanal, Director HCM Dept, NOC Program Features The MHCM Program consists of 60 Credit hours comprising of core course, professional course, elective, thesis and internship The program is to be completed in 4 semesters of 6 months each. The spring semester begins on March and fall semester begins on September. The intake is made on both the semesters. The program is designed on both the on-college learning and off-college learning. It encompasses class lectures, discussions, presentations, guest lectures, case analysis (on-college learning) and internship, research, group work, field visit (off-college learning). Upon successful completion of the course the students will be awarded Masters in Health Care Management (MHCM) by Pokhara University. Admission Requirements and Procedure The admission requirement for students in the MHCM program is as follows: Any four year bachelor’s degree in Health Science with CGPA 2.0 or 2nd division BHCM or PGDHCM with CGPA 2 or 2nd division Any Masters degree or above pass recognized by Pokhara University with CGPA 2.0 or 2nd division BY: Kabita Khanal, Director HCM Dept, NOC

BY: Kabita Khanal, Director HCM Dept, NOC Evaluation System Internal Evaluation The mode of evaluating in a given course is decided by the concerned faculty who may assign varying weights to one or more of the evaluation modes like quizzes and oral tests, class participation, group discussion, assignments, project work, presentations and will announce such weights in the beginning of the course. The concerned faculty shall be responsible for the continuous internal evaluation. The internal evaluation shall have in general a total weight of 60 percent. Evaluation System Contd.. External Evaluation There will be an end term examination in the courses offered during the term. The end term examination is based on the format of Pokhara University and is undertaken at a different college under the affiliation of Pokhara University.
