Is the program accredited?
The BSHCA program has been approved by the State of Arizona and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), Pima Medical Institute’s institutional accrediting agency.
What are the requirements to enroll in the program?
Applicants must have completed 64 credits in a health science or health care administration program. Additional transfer credit may be accepted as determined on an individual basis by the Program Director and the Online Education Director. If an applicant does not have the required qualifying semester credits, Pima Medical Institute has additional online courses that may assist in qualifying for the program.
How long is the program?
The BSHCA program is a 15-month program, but individual completion time may vary depending on individual progress and the number of credits transferred.

What are the class sizes?
Individual class size will never exceed 25 students. This allows each student to receive personalized attention from the instructor of the course.
Do I have to be online at any particular time?
Each course has specific due dates for papers, quizzes, and assignments, but you have the flexibility to work when it’s convenient for you.
Are there externships required?
There are no clinicals or externships in the BSHCA program, however, students will be required to relate work-related experiences to the program.

Tuition for the program is set at $330 per credit.

Will I have a chance to experience the online classroom before classes begin?
Every student will complete an online orientation before they begin a program. The orientation is set up to allow students to practice using all of the tools they’ll use in an actual class. It also helps ensure that students have the right computer and software.
