Tone-an attitude toward a subject or audience by the author conveyed through a choice of words. Example: I want to ask the authorities, “What is the big deal?” (sarcastic) I want to draw attention to the appropriate authorities. (serious) Write a sentence and label the tone:

Rhyme Scheme-A rhyme scheme is the pattern of rhymes at the end of each line of a poem or song. It is usually referred to by using letters to indicate which lines rhyme; lines designated with the same letter all rhyme with each other. Example: Label the poem on the following slide with the appropriate rhyme scheme.

Internal Rhyme- two or more rhyming words occurring within the same line often in the middle of the line. Example: I went to town to buy a gown. I took the car and it wasn’t far. Write a sentence using internal rhyme utilizing the pictures below:
