What is Public Health? Public health is about improving and protecting the health of groups of people Public health professionals take action to promote healthy lifestyles, prevent disease, protect and improve general health, and improve healthcare services. The ‘population’ they are working for could be a rural community, an entire city, or the global population

The BSc Public Health course This has been designed to give the best possible foundation and development opportunities for a career in the Public Health field. The course aims to: Build the skills and knowledge required to engage with the current public health agenda Provide long term development opportunities for participants in areas relating to Public Health. The course is closely aligned with the requirements of the Faculty of Public Health, to strengthen academic and career opportunities, e.g. within Public Health England
