Due Process: government must follow procedures established by law and guaranteed by the Constitution, treating all people equally The 14th amend. Guarantees “equal protection under the law.”

Pages 145-147 Five basic freedoms include: Speech Press Religion Petition Assembly The 1st amendment allows citizens to criticize the government without fear of punishment.
