3 2nd Amendment Right to serve in a state militia Right to bear arms

4 3rd Amendment Prohibits quartering of soldiers

5 4th Amendment No unreasonable searches and seizures

6 5th Amendment Protects the rights of a person accused of a crime:
No one can be put on trial without first being indicted. Protection from double jeopardy Protects a person’s right to remain silent, no self incrimination No one can be denied life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Limits the government’s power of eminent domain

7 6th Amendment Right to a fair and speedy trial

8 7th Amendment Right to a jury trial in a civil case

9 8th Amendment No excessive bail or fines
No cruel and unusual punishment

10 9th Amendment Rights listed in the Constitution are not the only rights of the American people.

11 10th Amendment All powers not specifically given to the national government in the Constitution belong to the states and to the people.
