How to manage people and organisations in increasingly globalized and turbulent economies and societies.

What is International Business Accelerating globalisation demands an increasing awareness of the impact of culture, language, laws and traditions on thinking, practices and behaviours of staff, customers, organisations, economies and society. IDA Portfolio Companies Relevance of International Business IDA Portfolio Companies 9 out of 10 250,000 €122 billion

International Business – Domestic Perspective Ireland also enjoys a very intensive export orientated indigenous industry. SMEs employ c180,000 directly. Ireland exported €13.7 billion worth of goods to Britain in 2015 (36% of export volume), €14.5 billion to Belgium (some for onward delivery), and €26 billion to the US. All organisations, (small craft or food specialists selling on the Internet, or worldwide retail giants) need managers with an understanding of the complexities of operating businesses internationally. Recent survey showed that Irish SMEs plan to generate more than 50% of sales growth outside of their home market.
