 Etiology: sudden, involuntary contraction  S/S: Pain, cramping  TX: Gentle stretching, ice/heat

 Etiology: painless, gradual atrophy of muscle tissue  S/S: mild to total diasability  TX: no cure, medication, braces, physical therapy

 AKA: Fibromyositis  Eitiology: inflammation of muscle tissue in the lower spine  S/S: pain, tenderness after exposure to cold, dampness, or minor trauma  TX: rest, heat, massage therapy, medication

 Etiology: abnormal protrusion of a body part into another are.  Example: intestines through abdominal muscles in the groin  S/S: pain, possible visible bulge  TX: bracing, surgical procedure, medication
