Proposed Trip to Holland 2016 Information Evening for Parents Thursday 21 st May 2015

Why? Sue Aston and Helen Harrison have run and led this trip many times before. We have seen the amazing times and how these children change and grow! John Nixon has also been with us on numerous occasions. A last big celebration / thing together as year 6. Memories that will be last forvever. Very different to any other experience offered in school Year 7 residentials are very similar to what has been offered in the past.

Transport Coach – executive coach company- Ellison's – they have to adhere to drivers hours etc… Once in Holland the driver remains with us. They are very experienced and have generally been on the tours before- get us to the right place and with inside knowledge. Coach has a DVD player ( we will take plenty of DVD’s with us) toilet on board, toilet – for emergencies (plenty of rest breaks), kitchen area (we will provide little snacks and drinks) Ferry – children will be together at all times! By the time dis- embarked coach, eaten breakfast, all sat together, toilet etc.. It’s time to get on the coach again!

Itinerary 27 th June 2016 – leave school at 1 minute past midnight!! – this ensures we get the most out of our time and children will sleep for a lot of the journey. An executive coach with a reputable company. Travel down to Dover (with rest breaks) Early morning ferry from Dover to Calais. Breakfast / snack on board. Monday make our way down to Holland – activities / breaks on the way for example Madurodam – Holland in miniature. Packed lunch that has been provided from home. Head to our destination “Noordwijk” on the Dutch coast.

Children will need own passport and EHIC card which we will check before hand. These will be collected before departure and kept by a teacher and then in the hotels safe. Returned on return to school.

Children Will be a year older! Well prepared- expectations, signed agreement.
