The most important thing to remember when setting up for recording is ‘The sound needs to go IN to something then OUT of the same device’ DI Box – Direct in Box XLR – Microphone Cable Jack Lead – Guitar/Keyboard Lead Multicore – Black box in the practise rooms

XLR Cable Used for – -Plugging in a microphone to a PA System -Plugging in a microphone to a multicore -Used as an OUTPUT from a DI Box

Jack Lead Used for – -Plugging in a guitar or keyboard to Amp -Used as an INPUT to a DI Box -Used as an OUTPUT from a DI Box

DI Box Used to record acoustic guitars, Keyboards – anything you can plug a Jack lead into!

Multicore Connected to the Computer (OUTPUT) You plug XLR Cables into this end…..(INPUT)
