2 XLR Female (canon) Used to connect microphones, Loudspeakers enclosures, amplifiers and mixers. Can be wired to use as speaker or signal cable.

3 XLR Male (canon) Used to connect microphones at mixer end and amplifiers depending on how they are wired. These are used on signal cables only.

4 ¼ inch Mono Jack Used to connect instruments to amplifiers, DI boxes or line inputs on mixers when wired as a signal cable. Can also be used when wired with speaker cable for loudspeaker enclosures.

5 Speakon Used for speaker cable connections from Amplifiers to Loudspeaker enclosures. This is a new type of plug which is safer and more efficient than the older type canon and ¼” jack mentioned above.

6 RCA Phono plug mono Used to connect Line Level devices to mixers including iPods, CD players and computers. White color RCA is Left (mono) and red is RIGHT (stereo)

7 3.5mm Minijack stereo Used to connect iPods, computers and Mp3 players to mixing desk.

8 Stereo ¼ inch jack Used for stereo headphones out of mixing desks
