Items to be Completed FY10 Strategic Priorities Operational Plan and Metrics Leadership Team Selection & Transition FY10 Important Dates Collegiate Leadership Forum (CLF) - Siddika

FY10 Strategic Priorities Improve retention in math and science education (Goal 1, Obj. 1.4; Dir o Edu/Dir of Ext) Increase the quality of professional development programs for all career stages and sectors (Goal 2, Obj. 2.2; Dir of PD) Increase the number of discussions with industry, government, and academic influencers (Goal 3, Obj. 3.4; Dir of Ext) Improve the SWE membership and leadership profile to reflect the demographics of women in engineering and technology (Goal 4, Obj. 4.1; Dir of Mem & DR) Emerging Opportunity (Goal X) – WIA? LRSP is updated based on the results of ASPR and ready for BOD approval

Operational Plan (OP) & Metrics Approve FY10 budget on May 11 Obtain the 1 st pass of metrics from SPC by May 29 Draft FY10 OP & HQ objectives with suggested metrics by Orientation Need inputs from board members by May 22 Will work with SPC to finalize metrics for strategic priorities Finalize the OP, HQ objectives & scorecard with metrics by BOD1

Leadership Selection Follow the National Leader and Team Member Selection Procedure Committee/Task Force Chair/Chair-Elect Applications are due April 1 Complete the selections by May 4 BOD Liaisons are responsible for forming a selection team to interview all applicants and select the best candidate(s) for the position(s) Review and vote in selected leaders on May 11 Notify selected leaders by June 1 Committee/Task Force members A call for members will be made on April 1 Committee/task force chairs must contact all applicants and work from there

Collegiate Board Rep Applications are due April 1 Interview all applicants by April 30 Will have a selection team Seek references from DR and some CIC leaders Inform BOD about the selected CBR on May 11 Notify the selected CBR NLT May 15

Transition Everyone should be ready to “hit the ground running” by July 1 BOD members – Done by early June RGs and Committees/task forces chairs Start planning the training soon RG and Committee chair training in June? Collegiate and professional section officer training in July/August?? Senator training – Done by ??

FY10 Important Dates – In Work Orientation – 6 /13 in San Francisco Installation – 7/30 in Chicago BOD1 – 7/31 & 8/1 in Chicago BOD2 – 10/12-13 in Long Beach, CA ASPR – January in ?? Need all region conference dates by May To be worked out with the Speaker of Senate BOD3 – March & virtual? BOD4 – June in Chicago
