Year group 8.00am- 8.25am P1P2 VMG / Break P3 P4 / lunch P5 KS 3 8 Arrive at school as per normal in full uniform Olympics Lesson Whole School Relay races 9 Arrive at school as per normal in full uniform Olympics Lesson Whole School Relay races KS 4 10 Arrive at school as per normal in full uniform Lesson Olympics Lesson Whole School Relay races 11 Arrive at school as per normal in full uniform Lesson Olympics Lesson Whole School Relay races

8.00 – 8.20 – Students arrive at school as normal in full uniform 8.20 – 8.25 – Students should go straight to their timetabled lesson 1 class. Period 1 – Students arrive at their first lesson. Teachers of year 8&9 escort students to the sports field. Once they are on the field they sit by their vmg flag as usual. Teachers of KS4 students (10 and 11 on rolled timetable) will teach normal classes as per the timetable (Olympic themed) Period 2 – all students in normal lesson VMG / Break: KS4 runners to get changed and escorted to the field ready to compete Period 3 – Students arrive at their normal lesson Teachers of year 10 & 11 escort students to the sports field. Once they are on the field they sit by their vmg flag as usual. Teachers of KS3 students (8 and 9 on rolled timetable) will teach normal classes as per the timetable (Olympic themed) Period 4 / lunch – all students in normal lesson Period 5 – Whole school relays Staff to escort own groups out to the field. Structure for the day

Runners All students selected to run in the finals event on the day will have already been pre selected based on their performances in PE lessons. Runners will be displayed in the notice boards in PE and will be ed out to all vmg’s. KS3 performers (8&9) you will need to be on the school field for 8.15am ready to start the finals events. KS4 performers you will need to get changed at break then you will be escorted to the field.

Whole school relays One of the highlights of the day is the whole school relays. Each VMG must select 4 students to represent their country. 2 males and 2 females one from each year group. If you have run in the finals event you can run again. You will come down to PE at 1.15pm to get changed and then be escorted to the field.

Finally… Please can all students bring their own water Water will only be supplied to runners Take the weather conditions into consideration. Please bring and apply sun cream. Take a hat etc. etc Please be responsible for your own medication or inform your vmg tutor of any particular needs.
