Propaganda Mini-Project DIRECTIONS: Step One: Open a Word document. Step Two: Using the internet, find three examples of propaganda from throughout history. These don’t have to just be limited to World War I, but must be propaganda related to politics, war, or national issues. ** DO NOT use any of the examples from class or the station activity. **You will need your “Propaganda Objectives and Tools” worksheet. **Please DO NOT give me the same examples as your friend or a person seated near you.

Propaganda Mini-Project Step Three: Next, find two examples of propaganda in advertising.

Propaganda Mini-Project Step Four: Copy and paste your five examples from above to the word document you opened. Under each, complete the following in a text box using your “Objectives and Tools” sheet. -Identify the objective(s). For your advertising examples you don’t have to use the wartime objectives as they don’t necessarily connect to advertising. Just write it in your own words. -Identify at least three propaganda tools used in your propaganda from history and at least two propaganda tools used in your propaganda from advertising.

Propaganda Mini-Project Step Five: Create an original piece of propaganda. Your propaganda can be either historical in nature (wars, politics, national issues, etc.) or it can be an advertisement. Please identify the objective and at least three tools if your propaganda is historical in nature or at least two tools if it is an advertisement. **Your newly created propaganda should be on its own sheet of paper. Step Six: Make sure your name is on the documents, print them out, staple everything together, turn them in.
