1 These light switch covers are intended to help conserve energy on the UW campus by serving as a reminder to turn off the lights. In an effort to conserve the resources it takes to print the covers, copy and paste individual covers into the blank page at the end or a new document, and be sure to choose to print only that page. Please count the number of covers that you will need before printing, and print as many on one page as possible without resizing. These will last longer if they are printed on paper that has a sticky backing such as label paper or post- it paper. If you intend on printing the cover on regular paper, taping the cover on all sides will help it last longer. Bark! Bark! Go Dark! Campaign Please contact us at oess@uw.edu if you have an questions.oess@uw.edu

2 Did You Know? Lighting is responsible for about 15% of a home energy bill. By turning off the lights when not in use, and switching to CFL’s, the amount of energy used for lighting could be significantly reduced. Did You Know? CFL bulbs use 1/4 less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and can last up to 10 years! Did You Know? Turning off the lights when you are not in the room can save $$ on your energy bill. These did you know boxes can also be printed and positioned near light switches (copy and paste what you want to print into a blank page)

3 Please count how many covers you need first, and then print as many as you need by deleting extra covers.
