Presentation Contents  Brief introduction about SONY KDL40 D3000.  The environmental factors that have an impact on the price of this Product: a) The use of recycled materials in production of KDL40 D3000 b) BRAVIA KDL40 D3000 design and packing style c) Power consumption and co2 emission. d) Ethics  Conclusion.

Introduction about SONY BRAVIA KDL40 D3000  LCD television Introduced in June 2007 by SONY  BRAVIA stands for "Best Resolution Audio Video Integrated Architecture“.  Main Features: BRAVIA picture enhancement Sony 100Hz Motion Flow HD Ready True 24p image processing Live colour creation Integrated digital tuner Surround sound ( SONY)

The use of recycled materials: reduces the use of new materials and lowering production costs In addition to reducing the amount of new resources used, this enables nearly 30% less CO2 emissions, compared to using new resources (“recycling in products”, n.d.).

Bravia KDL Television reduces the volume of packing materials by 25% hence reduce transportation impact on environment  This design helps reducing packing material waste which affects the environment.  Also reducing the volume of packing materials contributes in reducing transportation CO2 emission

The new Bravia LCD TV usage reduces CO 2 emissions by about 33% relative to first-generation Bravia LCD TVs released in (“reducing energy”, n.d.).

Sustainable Energy Europe Award B  Auto adjustment of screen brightness using a light sensor,  Auto standby if left idle  Auto adjustment of image brightness, which conserves backlight energy. This feature gives customers an advantage of less energy consumption. This feature raises the price of this product

Ethics :  A TV that look great, on or off. The beautiful design of this product raises the price of the product  Perfect for watching big games and movies because it has the world-first advancement in motion enhancing technologies.(Motion flow 200Hz with Image Blur Reduction)

Conclusion 1)The use of recycled materials in the production reduce the co2 emission during mining for new materials and the cost of this product. 2)The well design of this product reduces the packing volume which reduces cost of the product.also reduces the waste of packing and reduces the co2 emission generated by heavy transportation. 3)Less power consumption reduces electricity needed which reduces the fossil fuel burned which reduces co2 which help the environment. 4)The well design of the KDL40 D3000 made the TV requires small space
