2015 Highlights & Lessons Learned Five Third Degrees since kick off – H - Excellent team prep, DD/GK/Team Communication, – L -Scheduling must be solid at least one month in advance to support State, Supreme and long distance travelers New policy – post 3 rd degree dates and locations six months in advance; confirm times six weeks in advance – Will be securing tentative 3 rd degree dates for April through June during this meeting.

Responsibilities/Goals/Thresholds GKs Responsibilities: Schedule, coordinate candidates for first degree ceremonies. Goal: Form 1 st degree teams; Schedule, coordinate 1 st degrees monthly; Cancel as necessary. Threshold: New members to monthly 1 st degree in district. DD Responsibilities: Certify 1 st degree teams; form 2 nd degree teams; schedule, coordinate 2 nd degrees; Goal: monthly 2 nd degrees in district. Threshold: 2 nd degree ceremony in district every quarter. Ceremonial Director Responsibilities: Form 3 rd degree teams; schedule, coordinate 3 rd degrees. Goal: Monthly 3 rd degree ceremonies. Threshold: Ten 3 rd degrees per year to support five annual 4 th degree ceremonies. State Deputy Responsibilities: Certify 2 nd and 3 rd degree teams; attend 3 rd and 4 th degree ceremonies. State District Master Responsibilities: Certify 4 th degree teams/members; schedule, coordinate and lead 4 th degree ceremonies.

2016 Look Ahead/Emphasis Scheduling – Communicate and coordinate! Complete tentative 3 rd degree schedule today! Place 2 nd degree dates on State website!! 4 th Degree schedule: 2016 – Firm - Mar 12 Brentwood; April 9 Knoxville; May 14 Chattanooga. Tentative - Sep 24 (West); Nov 5 (Middle) – Tentative - Feb 11 (East); Mar 4 (West); Mar 11 (Middle); Apr 22 (East); May 13 (Middle). Middle Tennessee 4 th degree team needs volunteers for two positions. Sir Knights see Mike Porter or Mike Wiedemer to join the team!!! Dress for the event: 4 th Degree - Tux for candidates, team and observers. 3 rd Degree – Coat and Tie for candidates, team and observers. Protocol – Remember your first degree lessons? Remember your second degree lessons? Remember, remind, redo!
