When is the sun at the highest altitude in the sky during the day? Solar noon- highest point in the sky during the day usually occurring around 12pm.

How does your shadow change throughout the day? The longest shadows occur when the sun is at its lowest angles [sunrise and sunset]. The shortest shadow occurs at solar noon. All shadows north of 23 1/2 north are pointing North because the sun is always in the south sky.

When is the sun at the highest altitude in the sky during the year? In the N.H. June 21 st and the lowest altitude on Dec 21 st. In the S.H. Dec 21 st and the lowest altitude on June 21 st.
