All flowering plants are Called ?

ANGIOSPERMS

Flowers have four parts.

#1: Sepal

What does the Sepal do ?

Protects the flower until it blooms

#2: Petal

What does the Petal do ?

Attracts insects & other animals

#3: Stamen

What does the Stamen do ?

Makes the Pollen. It’s the male part.

#4: Pistil

What does the Pistil do ?

Makes the Eggs. It’s the female part.

What do flowers do ?

Attract animals & insects to spread their pollen.

Sweet smell (some insects & animals) Bad small (for flies)

Which reproductive stage is the flower used ?

The Gametophyte stage (sexual stage)

The male part is the STAMEN.

The Stamen has two parts :

#1 : Filament. It holds the anther.

#2 : Anther. Makes the pollen.

The Pistil has three parts :

#1 : Stigma. Catches the pollen.

#2 : Style. A tube that sends the pollen to the egg.

#3 : Ovary. Where the eggs are made.

Three stages of flower reproduction

Stage One : The pollen goes from the Anther to the Stigma.

Stage Two : The pollen goes down the style (pollen tube).

Stage Three : The pollen combines with the egg in the ovary.
