Leapin’ Leopards Run Club Spring Team Tuesday & Wednesday 3:30-4:15 Starting Tuesday, April 1st

Parent Permission Packet Packet must be properly filled out and returned no later than Friday, March 21st! Everyone must fill out a new membership permission form!!! No late forms will be allowed!

Purpose of the Run Club To promote a Healthy Lifestyle Prepare for our Fun Run and/or 5K Increase cardiovascular endurance Encourage others to participate in an exercise training and/or program Leapin’ Leopards Run Club is open to K-6 th grade students Have fun being fit!

Goal of the Leapin’ Leopards Participate in the STRUT YOUR MUTT SPCA 5K/FAMILY 3K SATURDAY, MAY 17 TH ! Please see attached registration form for 5K and Fun Run

Practice When: Tuesdays & Wednesdays 3:30-4:15 Dates: First Practice Tuesday, April 1st Last Practice Wednesday, May 14th Location: Back Parking Lot behind the school If we have bad weather in the area practice may be cancelled. Students will be informed before they leave school that day. Practice will 3:30

Attendance Requirements All Leapin’ Leopard Club Members must least one Tuesday or Wednesday training session a week! Upon second absence a club member will be excused from membership in the club.

Behavior Expectations Run Club Membership is a privilege and any inappropriate behavior or behavior problems will result in the loss of membership to the Leapin’ Leopards Run Club. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT RUNNING & WALKING OUTSIDE IN TRAINING THE ENTIRE 45 MINUTES IS PART OF RUN CLUB MEMEBERSHIP. All members are expected to follow directions and participate at all times!

Practice Attire Proper running attire such as tennis shoes, socks, shorts, and t-shirts are acceptable dress for practice and race day. If a student comes to practice with inappropriate running attire they will be sent home and this will count as an absence. Proper FOOTWEAR is VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Permission Forms All students participating in the Leapin’ Leopards Run Club must have a signed permission form turned into the office.

Kindergarten – Second Graders All kindergarten, first and second grade students must have a parent present at all practices in order to attend. The younger students will need more one on one attention for encouragement. This is a wonderful way for both you and your child to get some extra exercise. Only parents/guardians may attend. NO other children not enrolled at Lewis Elementary including younger siblings.

Fun Run & 5K Registration At least one parent/guardian must attend on race day and provide transportation. Any student and/or parent wanting to participate in the Family 3K/5K must register online. Race Website-
