Alpine County Government Center Board of Supervisors Presentation October 2, 2012

Progress Summary Met with all department heads and judge’s and confirmed all space program requirements. Held two design workshops with design team. Programmed and developed floor plans for upper floor of the courthouse. Developed all department’s space plans and all Department Heads have signed off. Judge’s have submitted a cost estimate to the AOC requesting financial assistance.

Administration / Sheriff Deficiencies Sanitary sewer line under Connecting Link. Recommended Action: Delay construction of Connecting Link until additional funding is procured. This also defers additional courthouse improvements requested to enhance courthouse security. Obsolete light fixtures throughout. Manufacturer’s can no longer manufacture ballasts or lamps for commercial use. Recommended Action: Replace all fixtures in existing building. HVAC distribution ductwork requires complete replacement to meet building and fire codes. Recommended Action: Replace all ductwork in existing building. Insufficient water pressure at hydrants requires the installation of a new fire sprinkler system throughout. Recommended Action: Install a new fire sprinkler system.

New electrical transformer and primary service are required. Recommended Action: Add new transformer and primary service to relocated switchboard. An existing storm sewer is under the preferred building location and requires relocation. Recommended Action: Relocate existing storm sewer around proposed building location.
