 ForwardVision is an Enterprise Resource Planning Application (ERP) designed to help small to medium-sized food producers manage the complexities of their business.  Built in real-time based on actual business needs of a food production company by the general manager/co-owner of the company.

 Started out as a set of purchasing spreadsheets used to cost and to purchase  There was clear evidence that the spreadsheets limited the companies effectiveness and ability to grow  A more robust solution was needed which lead to a software selection project and eventually a build vs buy decision  Created an Access Database building out functional areas from purchasing to sales, products, recipes, raw ingredients, production, delivery and connecting the areas to each other  Moved to MS SQL Server Database Back-end  Built a cloud enabled web user interface

 Built on flexible web based cloud enabled platform allowing for extendibility, extensibility and expandability. Allowing users to access to information anywhere anytime on any web enabled device  ASP.net web application on top of a MS SQL Server database  ForwardVision is designed for either onsite implementations using your own servers or in the cloud on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform  This platform allows for: ◦ Easy rollout of updates and upgrades ◦ Customization ◦ Disaster recovery leveraging the Microsoft Azure Cloud

 The primary goal of the application is to increase profitability by both reducing costs and increasing revenue ◦ Increase efficiency and reduce errors in the entire lifecycle from customer acquisition and retention to production and delivery and billing ◦ Decrease mistakes and minimize the impact when mistakes happen (move the order issue timeline-cost curve towards $0) ◦ Increase effectiveness of workforce, stay in the proactive state and out of the reactive state ◦ One central data / information / content repository

Extended detail is completely customize base products. These deviations are of course represented in production and purchasing reports and other collateral. The deviations in labeling also flow through to the data used to print labels.

Sending Notifications – and text messages can be sent notifying users of new client interactions, orders, order changes, tasks, issues etc. The and text messages include a link to the source item for convenience.
