EPMO Environment Microsoft Product Family There are two user experiences that make up the EPM offering. Project Server – Project Professional 2007 is the downloadable software where the project managers plan and track the project plans. Project Web Access – this is where all the EPMO workspaces reside at Services Project Server 2007 Platform SQL Server 2005 Windows Server 2003 Windows Share Point Services 3.0

You can stay informed, control project work, schedules, and keep project teams aligned, while becoming more productive through powerful reporting options. Microsoft Office Project Server 2007: Office Project Server 2007 is the flexible platform that supports the resource management, scheduling, reporting, and collaboration capabilities in the EPMO Solution. Office Project Server 2007 enables CSC to store project and resource information centrally and consistently. Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2007: Project Web Access is the Internet Explorer-based interface for working with Project Server. This is where all the EPMO workspaces reside. Project Center and Resource Center are the main analysis tools for Portfolio and Resource Management Windows SharePoint Services 3.0: Windows SharePoint Services provides a single workspace for Transitions, Accounts and Internal Teams to coordinate schedules, organize documents, and participate in discussions. Easily author and manage documents, and help to ensure their integrity with enhanced features including the option to require document checkout before editing, the ability to view past revisions and restore to previous versions, and the ability to set document-specific security. Help people and teams stay on task with a variety of communication features that let users know when actions are required or important changes are made to existing information or documentation, including announcements, sophisticated alerts, surveys, and discussion boards.
