Silk Roads The Silk Road or Silk Route:  was an interconnected series of routes through Southern Asia (north of India)  Camel caravans and ships connected China, with the Moguhl Empire, Ottoman Empire, Asia Minor, Europe and other points.  Over 8,000 km (5,000 miles) long.

The darker red represents the traditional “Silk Road”.
