SPORTS SCHOARSHIP PROGRAMME Pupil/Player Charter The following document outlines the expectations for both pupil and school for our sporting scholarships. School rules, regarding behaviour, classwork, homework, attendance and appearance are outlined in the pupil handbook 100% attendance to both classes and training/practice sessions is considered to be of the utmost importance and acceptance of a sporting scholarship indicates a willingness to engage fully with the programme outlined by the school.

What we will expect from you: Always bring a positive attitude and try your best Be prompt for lessons/training/practices Listen carefully, contribute and interact Always communicate well with your teachers & coaches Encourage your team mates and support your school or club: players are expected to represent the school whenever practically possible Accept decisions made by match officials, and do so without complaint Appreciate and recognise good play by both teams Win with humility and lose with dignity Always remain calm and in control of your temper Acknowledge and thank officials, and the opposition Be proud of your school or club—look the part with the correct kit/equipment for all sessions! Be an ambassador for the school at all times Understand, embrace and promote Tower House’s core values (Nihil Quam Optime – “Nothing But the Best”)

What you can expect from the school: A quality education across the whole curriculum Specialised sports training in the areas of Basketball and/or Triathlon (Swimming, Cycling & Running) as well as access to other sports Structured Conditioning and Strength training, both in lessons and in extra-curricular sessions Access to competition at a level which will develop you as a performer/official/coach A willingness to engage with you and enable the highest possible development of your potential Set high standards and provide positive role models Regular progress reports/performance reviews and ongoing communication with parents

You must understand that if you fail to abide by these expectations, you may… Be required to apologise to team-mates, the other team, referee or team manager. Be asked to leave the playing squad Be expected to attend extra sessions outside of those timetabled for the rest of the squad Ultimately lose your scholarship
