{ Peer Editing Round Table Stack the rough drafts in the center of your table. Now, trade stacks with a table that has the same number of essays as your table. Diamonds: make sure that your group members have a different color highlighter and a post-it note from the drawer.

 Diamonds:  Diamonds: Highlight Thesis Statement and Topic sentences for both body paragraphs. Make sure they connect! Highlight re-stated thesis statement. Write down what advanced HOOK method they are using off to the side.  Spades:  Spades: Read the thesis. You are in charge of checking the FIRST body paragraph’s SEE sets. Do they address how the use of the sources connects to the idea of one person making a difference/support their topic sentence? Highlight Explanation/Elaboration. Parenthetical citations correct?  Clubs:  Clubs: Read the thesis. You are in charge of checking the SECOND body paragraph’s SEE sets. Do they address how the use of the sources connects to the idea of one person making a difference/support their topic sentence? Highlight Explanation/Elaboration. You also need to write down what advanced closure method they are using at the end of their essay and if it connects back to their hook.

 You now have all read a part of each essay at your table.  Place one post-it note at the top of each essay.  As a team, provide one positive feedback on the post it note and one constructive criticism and HOW THEY CAN FIX IT. Discuss each paper separately.  Then, discuss any MLA format issues AND major grammatical errors you see present that they need to fix in the final draft.  Hand back the papers to the original table.
